Ramathon Team Success

Our team of 14 Ramathon runners (and one who ran the Leeds half marathon) have raised more than £6000 to help us continue our work with children and young people at risk of sexual exploitation.

We want to thank our fantastic team of Ramathon runners who completed the Derby half marathon yesterday morning in aid of Safe and Sound.

We had a great atmosphere at the Safe and Sound stand all day, with our runners getting to know each other and we even got some pictures with Rammie. We had a great reaction from the public too. Thanks to recent TV programmes like Three Girls and the latest Coronation Street storyline, public engagement around child sexual exploitation awareness (CSE) has increased with lots of people pledging their commitment to help by identifying and reporting suspected CSE.

All of our runners made excellent times, with a number of them coming in under 2 hours.

Thanks to their fundraising efforts, our Safe and Sound team have raised more than £6000 to help support our work with children and young people at risk of and affected by sexual violence, exploitation and abuse.

Thank you to Jim Nicholls, Anthony Lomas, Seb Haywood, Rebekah Ford, Claire Tonks, Emma Holt, Sean Price, Julian Hammerton, Marie Morgan, Kaye Davis, Laura Watson, Seb Saywood, Lee Cutforth, Joe Redmond, our Chief Executive Nathalie Walters and Mark Wallace who ran the Leeds half for us back in May.

If you’d like to help us by organising or taking part in a fundraising event, please email [email protected] to request a Supporter Pack.
