Fantastic sponsorship from Century Mobile

We’re delighted that Derby based mobile and communications business Century Mobile is sponsoring our upcoming Marketing Derby event in October.

The event to be held at University of Derby for Marketing Derby bondholder businesses, will raise awareness of the scale of child sexual exploitation across Derbyshire and inform people about the work we do at Safe and Sound to protect children and young people and support victims. We hope this will help generate awareness and support to enable us to continue working with vulnerable young people in our local communities.

Manager Director Scott Harrhy from Century Mobile said: “We’re a Derby based business providing mobile phones for a number of other Derby businesses and we wanted to support a local charity that has an impact in the communities we work; helping to protect our children and those of our employees and our clients’ employees.”

“I have children myself so can understand the challenges of keeping children safe and when you have children, it’s hard to acknowledge that things like sexual exploitation even occur; I don’t like to even think about what some children go through. I had previously thought child sexual exploitation was mainly something that happened to very vulnerable children from troubled homes or children in care but having supported Safe and Sound previously by providing an iWatch as a gala dinner prize, I now understand that any young person could be affected.”

“By supporting a local charity, I know all the funds we raise or donate will go back into the local area and make a real difference to the lives of young people.”

We’re very grateful to Scott and his team at Century Mobile for all their support.

If you work for a local business that is considering your charity of the year or have a fundraising activity planned, please consider supporting Safe and Sound. Please get in touch with us to discuss how you may be able to help on 01332 362120.
