Our Hub & Spoke Project

Safe & Sound Derby is a well established charity supporting children, young people and families affected by child sexual exploitation. We are now looking for four exceptional individuals to join our team to help improve the response to child sexual exploitation beyond Derby City.

We have secured funding from the Big Lottery Fund and Henry Smith Charity to develop a ‘Hub and Spoke’ project, to support others to tackle child sexual exploitation.  Over the next three years, the ‘Hub and Spoke’ project aims to equip individuals in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire with the knowledge and skills to ensure that children and young people at risk of, or experiencing this form of abuse, receive the support they need to move forwards positively in their lives. We are therefore now looking to recruit four new full-time workers – a Case Adviser, a Policy and Practice Adviser, a Trainer and a Victim Support Adviser – to take this work forwards.

lotteryAll appointments are subject to enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, and as the posts will involve partnership work with Derbyshire Police, security clearance to the appropriate level.

Closing date for all applications: 5pm, 21st January 2015
